2020 has been a weird one hasn’t it? Despite being one of the strangest years we will probably witness in our lifetime, this year has had a few positive outcomes. We’ve gotten to spend more time with our families. We’ve saved a little bit more money because we are traveling, shopping and eating out less. And we have time to do that home-improvement project we’ve been putting off. One additional positive outcome for me has been the rediscovery of my love for podcasts. I used to listen to podcasts on a daily basis many years a go but work and other distractions took my attention.
After watching just about every show and movie on Netflix, I found myself burned out with TV and on the hunt for someone else to keep me entertained. Insert, THE PODCAST. I randomly played one while making breakfast one morning and was so hooked that I listed to it pretty much all day while I worked on a few design projects. To my surprise, that was one of my most productive days! Since then, I’ve made it a point to incorporate podcasts back into my weekly routine. They keep me motivated, give me a boost of inspiration and provide a good laugh if I’m needing it.
Here’s a few of my favorite podcasts that I to listen to throughout the week.
Side Hustle Pro by Nicaila Okome
Side Hustle Pro is one of my OG podcasts. I started listing to this one when I first discovered podcasts. Exactly how it sounds, this is a conversational podcast showcasing individuals who have turned their side hustles into thriving businesses. The content is very informative, and the guests are truly inspiring and uplifting.

It is all about manifesting the life you want, relationships you want, career you want, etc. This podcast gives you the energetic boost and mind clarity you need to keep grinding on your goals.
Breaking Down your Business by Jill Salzman and Brad Farris
This podcast gets down to the nitty gritty of running your business. They help solopreneurs and small business owners tackle pricing, hiring and increasing revenue. The content is informative and a great resource for solopreneurs to grow and expand their business.
There you have it, my top 3 podcasts for female solopreneurs. I encourage all of you to give these podcasts a listen and let me know what you think. Of course, these aren’t the only great podcasts out there. There are hundreds, if not thousands of podcasts for solopreneurs, specifically women solopreneurs. So, let me know, what are some of your favorite podcasts and why? I’d love to find a few gems to add to my collection.
